Play To Earn NFT Game
Play To Earn (P2E) games have become popularized by the most recent wave of interest in cryptocurrency and NFTs. Gods Unchained awards active players free GODS tokens and NFTs (in the form of usable playing cards) for just playing their game. The cards earned from playing Gods Unchained can be listed on the Immutable X marketplace for a number of cryptos, including Ethereum.
Personally, I enjoyed listing my NFT cards on the marketplace, buying others' underpriced cards, and relisting them. I ended up making a small amount of Ethereum that I was able to transfer to BNB with a DEX swap like SimpleSwap.
Gameplay
While playing Gods Unchained I was very entertained. Quick matches and short waiting times allowed me to play many games in under an hour.
Gods Unchained is very similar to other battle-based trading card games, like Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic The Gathering. Players face off in one-versus-one matches in a turn-based system where they can choose from 5 different types of 'Gods' to control. Each of these Gods has unique abilities and cards that only they may control. The win condition is met by bringing your opponent's God's health to zero, starting from 20.
Strategy
Players must make tough decisions during their turn in battle. Offensive moves can typically be executed on your opponent's God or their creatures on the battlefield unless specifically stated.
Strategy is also used in the creation of the player's decks. Some cards require more mana (mana is a resource that builds each turn and is used for playing cards and abilities) than others and must be considered when building a deck.
Requirements
Currently, Gods Unchained is only supported on a desktop operating system. You will have to download and install the program on your computer.
Metamask is recommended as you must connect an Ethereum wallet in order to collect your GODS tokens and trade your NFT cards on the marketplace.
